The Office of the District Attorney prosecutes all felony cases within the Waycross Judicial Circuit. Our goal is to fairly and efficiently seek justice for the citizens of Georgia and victims particularly.
Cases usually begin with an arrest by a law enforcement officer and then are reviewed by an assistant district attorney. A case may then be prepared for accusation or presentation to the grand jury for an indictment. If a case does not result in a guilty plea, cases are prosecuted through trial and any appeal.
The District Attorney's office cannot speak with defendants or their family members regarding a case.
